Eel Seller Figurine #2

This is a figurine of a gentleman with a basket by his side made by Augarten in the mid 20th century. The figure is of a street vendor and he is meant to be selling eels but if you'd like to bring him into the 21st century we could just say he is selling Kale :) The eels are covered in the greenery to keep them cool and moist with one eel slivering over his hand. He is holding a walking stick in his left, has a flower on top of the base and and is superbly modeled with lots of detail and hand painted to perfection. Really a nice model and one of my favorite ones as well. The figure is in perfect condition and is 6.75 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 2.625 inches deep. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Made in Austria impressed, the usual impressed marks including the model number 1014, a black painter's number 28 and impressed letter N. Please email me for more information or photos.
