Painted Cockatoo Figurine

This is a neat Art Deco cockatoo bird figurine made by Augarten during the mid 20th century. The figure is very well modeled (originally by the famous Mathilde Jaksch ) in a very typical pose for this sort of bird and hand painted with just enough color to make it a very elegant piece. The bird is 4.5 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep. It is in perfect condition! Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath as well as Augarten Wien Austria in red, a painter's number 80, Made in Austria impressed, the letter Z impressed as well as model number 1599.
