Original Period Largest Borzoi Dog

This is a sup[erb figurine of a Borzoi or Russian Wolfhound dog made by Augarten in the early 20th century during their original period. Hard to find these early examples these days! The figure is not common at all and much harder to find than the other two sizes they made of this model. The dog is the largest version being 6.125 inches tall, 6.125 inches wide and 12 inches long. It is in perfect condition. Very well hand painted and modeled. The fur is amazing as is the detail of the face and paws. One of the nicest models they made! Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, impressed number 1713/III , Augarten Austria in a red rectangle and a black number 31 as the painter's mark.
