Original Art Deco Period Vase

This is a superb lidded vase made by Augarten during the original period of the 1920's. A model you won't see often and so early it does not have the normal impressed model number yet. This would be model number 106 . It is superbly hand painted with an Art Deco design in in green, orange, black with gold highlights in the center section, a cobalt blue ground to the bottom and top section with some more gilding to that and a nice green and gold design to the top rim. The lid has the same cobalt blue ground with gilding and a nice design to the top and the finial. A reallys tunning piece and almost impossible to find from this period. The vase with the lid in place is 8.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 5.5 inches. The top opening is has a diameter of 2.25 inches. The vase and its lid are in superb condition with some minor gold wear on the top edge as well as to the gold trim on the cobalt blue background of the top section. One minor spot of wear to the black trim of the central section. It is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Augarten Austria in a red rectangle. Please email me for more information or photos.
