Melon Mocha Pot

This is a neat mocha pot made by Augarten during the original period in the 1920's. It was designed in the mid 1920s by Josef Hoffmann and is called the melon shape or Melonen Service. A fun piece in terms of shape and color. The pot and lid is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath as shown with underglaze blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, a black set of numbers 5538 over 7. and Augarten Austria in a red rectangle so a rare piece from the original period. The pot and lid are 6.5 inches tall the largest diameter is about 3.625 inches.
