Original Madonna Bust

This is a bust of the Madonna wearing a ray wreath made by Augarten during the original period in the 1930's. This piece was designed by Ida Schwetz-Lehmann in 1933 and this peice was manufactured during that time which makes it much rarer than the later pieces. The figurine is 9.25 inches tall, about 4 inches deep and 5.75 inches wide so she is the largest of the 3 versions. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath and the red Augarten Austria in a rectangle. She is in perfect condition with a small firing crack from the making on the sleeve of her right hand hard to spot and not important since she is still a first choice piece. Also impressed are the number 1715 over 3 and ISL - the artist initials. Please email me for more information or photos.
