Original Black Scenic Plate #5

This is a reticulated plate made by Augarten during the original period in the early 20th century. It is handpainted with a superb scene in the center of Kloster Schoenbuehel i.d. Wachau and has a nicely reticulated rim highlighted with a nice design in grey tones and gilding. This rim design is slightly different from the other plate in that it does have the floral cartouches on the rim. The plate is 0.75 inches tall and 7.875 inches in diameter. It is in perfect condition. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, a black 5199/4. as well as the words Augarten Austria in red in a rectangular box and the title of the scene as shown. A rare plate from the original period. Please email me for more information or photos.
