Baltic Sea Mapseller Figurine

This is is a porcelain figurine made by Augarten in the mid 20th century. It is one of the Paris artisan / vendor of the Cris de Paris series Royal Vienna made in the 18th century. Augarten redid them in the early 20th century and then later on as well. This is the map seller of the series. The map is of the northern part of German including the Ost See aka the Baltic Sea showing a part of the coastline and some towns including Luebeck Schwerin and down to Wittenberg which is famous for Martin Luther. A very well modeled figure that is hand painted to perfection. Lots of little details including a flower on the base. The figurine is in perfect condition. It is 6.875 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The piece is marked underneath with the underglaze blue shield mark with the word Wien underneath, Augarten Wien Austria in red, Made in Austria impressed and a letter Y and a painter's number 93 in black.
