Large Greyhound Figurine

This is a large figure of a Greyhound or Whippet made by Augarten in the mid 20th century. This is probably the most popular of their dogs and one of the hardest to find especially this painted larger version. The figurine is superbly modeled and painted jsut enough to look real. You can even see its ribs a tiny bit and all th muscels. The figurine is 5 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 10.625 inches long. The figure is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, impressed number 1714 as well as an II (hard to see), impressed Made in Austria, impressed letter U and a painter's number 82 in black.
