Iris Flower Plate

This is a nice floral plate made by Augarten during the original period in the early 20th century. It is hand painted with a superb iris flower in the center with a thin gold line around the well of the plate and a thick gold trim along the edge which is nicely shaped. The plate is 0.875 inches tall and 7.75 inches in diameter. It is in perfect condition with just the tiniest of gold wear. It displays perfectly! The piece is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, a black 62/5234/4, a black number 17. and the Latin name of the flower in black - Iris pigta as shown. This one does not have the red rectangualr Augarten Austria mark like the others I ahve from this set but I ahve no doubt it is from the same time period. A superb piece that looks great especially with the three others I also have on the site if anyone is interested in a pair or set. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $279
