Hamlet Type Figurine

This is a nice figurine made by Augarten in the 20th century. The figure is of a fancily dressed gentleman that reminds me of the character Hamlet but I ahve seen i both called a nobleman and Don Giovanni. Either way is a nicely modeled figurine first designed by Mathilde Jaksch in 1956 and this piece here dates from aorund that time. The gentleman is dressed in 17th century clothing including a cape with a swords by his side. Left in the white to show off all that detail without covering it up with color. The piece displays nicely but there is a tiny bit of rope missing on his left shoulder that would be holding the cape in place as shown. Also it is deemed a second choice piece but I am not sure why. The figurine is 8.75 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath (cut mark through the center), impressed 1817 and Made in Austria as well as the letter B as shown. Please email me for more information or photos.
