Gentleman with Basket Figurine

This is a figurine of a gentleman with a basket made by Augarten in the mid 20th century. The figure is likely of a street vendor and whatever he was selling is hidden under the leaves to keep it cool maybe some sort of fish. He is holding a walking stick in his left and and is superbly modeled with lots of detail and handpainted to perfection. I have not seen this model before so I am not sure if this was originally designed by the Royal Vienna factory in the 18th century or not. The figure is in perfect condition! He is 6.75 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Augarten Wien Austria in red, the usual impressed marks including the model number 1014 and a black painter's number 82 as shown. Please email me for more information or photos.
