Large Whippet Figurine

This is a figurine of a Greyhound or Whippet made by Augarten in the mid 20th century. This is probably the most popular of their dogs and one of the hardest to find especially this painted larger version. The figurine is 4.875 inches tall, 2.875 inches wide and 10.625 inches long. The figure is in perfect condition. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, impressed number 1714 as well as an II (hard to see), impressed Made in Austria, impressed letters JJ and a painter's number 203 in black.
