Geranium Flower Plate

This is a nice floral plate made by Augarten during the original period in the early 20th century. It is hand painted with a superb Geranium flower in the center with a thin gold line around the well of the plate and a thicker gold trim along the edge which is nicely shaped. The gold trim along the edge of this plate is thinner than the others I have listed. The plate is 0.875 inches tall and 7.75 inches in diameter. It is in perfect condition with just the tiniest of gold wear. It displays perfectly! The piece is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, a black F 62., a black D5251 and a black number 62. the words Augarten Austria in red in a rectangular box and the Latin name of the flower in black - Pelargonium laxiflorum as shown. A rare plate from the original period that looks great especially with the three others I also have on the site if anyone is interested in a pair or set.
