Fish Placecard Holder

This is a fun figural piece - a place card holder in the form of a fish made by Augarten in the 20th century. A rare find that they still make but costs a small fortune when you order it today. The figure is nicely modeled full of movement, especially the fins. Superbly hand painted with lots of details and I especially like the scales. The dorsal fin of the figurine is doubled up so there is a little space in between to hold the place card. Truly a fun piece and one of the more elaborate place card holders I have come across. The piece is in superb condition. The piece is just under 2 inches tall, 1.375 inches wide and 4 inches long. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath as shown. Not much room for anything else so no other marks.
