Cherub w/ Heart & Ring Figurine

This is a rare original period figurine of a cupid / Amor made by Augarten during the the early 20th century. The figure was designed by Mathilde Szendrö - Jaksch in 1926 and this piece here is from the same period. Cupid is holding a heart in his left hand while holding a ring in his right hand behind his back. This would make a fun way to ask your girlfriend to marry you :) The figurine is superbly modeled with lots of details and hand painted to perfection. The scroll work around the base has some nice gold and puce highlights and his quiver is nicely placed to hide is front. The figure is 6 inches tall and the base has a diameter of about 2.875 inches. It is in perfect condition. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Augarten Austria in a red rectangle as well as a painter's mark 27. as shown.
