Cherub holding Ring & Heart Figurine

This is a superb figurine of a cupid / cherub / Amor made by Augarten during the the mid 20th century. The figure was designed by Mathilde Szendrö - Jaksch in 1926 and is meant to represent love with the cherub holding a heart in his left hand while holding a ring in his right hand behind his back. This would make a fun way to do your proposal to ask your girlfriend to marry you :) The figurine is superbly modeled with lots of details and hand painted to perfection. The cherub is holding the flaming heart in his left hand and the ring in his right hand behind his back. A quiver of arrows hiding his front mid section. The scroll work around the base has some nice puce and gold highlights and there is a flower and some greenery on the base. The figure is 5.875 inches tall and the base has a diameter of about 2.75 inches. It is in perfect condition. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Agarten Wien Austria in red as well as a painter's mark 89 in puce as shown. The model number 1555 is also impressed. Please email me for more information or photos.
