Indian Lady w/ Parrot Figurine

This is a rare figurine of an Indian woman with a parrot made by Augarten in the 20th century. It was first designed by Albin Döbrich in about 1925 and is one of the rarer models they made. I have actually never seen the white version but the painted version which is superb nice I ahve seen once or twice. The figure is very well modeled in the typical style of the period with the lady sitting on a pillow on top of a fancy tree stump that has a flowering branch growing out of the side and curved over her head. She is wearing a pointy large hat and petting the parrot that is sitting on her right hand. Really a stunning piece! Left in the white to show off the all that superb detail. The figurine is in perfect condition! It is 5.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 2.625 inches deep. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath and the impressed model number 1620 as shown. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $599
