Ansbach Scenic Cup & Saucer #2

This is a nice cup and saucer made most likely by Ansbach and definitely in the 18th century. The set is hand painted with a superb polychrome scene to each piece as well as some puce small flowers and some gold trim. I have looked at this set for a long time trying to figure out the exact maker and I finally decided it had to be made by Ansbach. They started making porcelain around 1758 and the factory flourished from 1758 through 1777 after which it closed somewhere around 1860. The factory was already in private hands since 1807. The set is definitely German and from the 18th century but not by one of the major makers. And with the shape of the handle and those puce flowers it had to be by them. The set is unmarked except for a line to the foot ring which doesn't help too much. The cup is 2 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.375 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The set is in great condition with some minimal wear to the gold trim and a bunch of factory flaws to the inside of the cup as shown plus a very ahrd to see hairline to the bottom end of the handle which is stable.
