Onyx Vase Decorative "Vase"

This is a fun "vase" made of Onyx stone with some ormolu flowers winding from the top down with a metal top and bottom. Probably bronze. I am saying "vase" because it is only carved out about 1.5 inches from the top down so it cannot really be used except for decoration. And it is a really nice decorative piece. Probably French in origin but I am not sure not do I know the age except that it is not new. The onyx has a very nice pattern to it - I first thought it was Alabaster or Agate but a friend of mine helped me that knows his stones a whole lot better than me. The piece is in great condition with some roughness around the edges from very tiny chips but it does display perfectly. The piece is about 7 inches tall and 2 inch at its widest. Quite heavy for its size due to it being mostly a solid pchunk of stone. There is no mark to it. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
