Richard Ablott Plaque #3

This is a nice scenic plaque painted by Richard Ablott and most likely made at Derby in the mid 19th century. The piece is superbly painted and of a nice size. The scene is of Loch Tay, a small freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands . The piece is of a very nice quality with the greenery in the front, the lake in the center and mountains all around. I especially like the way he painted the sky and two tiny sailboats in the water. A nice item that is superbly executed! The plaque is in good condition as shown with a bit of paint coming off in the area around the bottom left corner. Probably some sort of firing or color issue. The back has the title written in red - Loch Tay Painted by R. Ablott. The plaque 8.375 inches wide and 6.625 inches tall so of a very nice size.
