Crinoline Lady Figurine

This is an amazing and rare figurine made by Meissen most likely in the mid 1740's. One of my favorite pieces ever! She is handpainted with the nicest decoration I have ever seen and this style of decoration is extremely rare and stunning! The figure is of a lady of the Order of the Pug ( Mopsorden ) modeled by Kaendler. She is wearing a large skirt typical of the fashion of the times, a bonnet on her head and she is holding a pug under her left arm while another pug is looking up at her from lying on the base under her skirt. This piece is so stunning one needs nothing else in the cabinet with a piece like this in it. Really an amazing figurine and in great condition with supposedly one minor restoration though I cannot find it. Some very minor chips to the bottom edge of the skirt though most are glazed over so from the making and some firing/hairlines on the underside that are minor and of no importance since they never make it to the edge. A few black firing spots underneath also common to early Meissen. The bottom base is unglazed which is common on early Meissen and any mark is long gone because of it - also pretty common! There is one mark on the edge of her skirt some people think is a bossierer's mark though it is not very clear to me. Might have even been ground flat after the firing. The figure is quite heavy and 9.375 inches tall, 8.25 inches wide and 5.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
